What material is used for insulation potting
There are two types of liquid silicone materials for insulation potting, one is organotin room temperature vulcanization with a curing ratio of 10:1, and the other is a commonly used addition molding electronic potting adhesive with a curing ratio of 1:1, which can achieve rapid curing at room temperature or heating. The selection of materials should be based on the application products and the performance requirements of silicone materials. Addition cure electronic potting silicone is commonly used.
The insulating potting silicone also has the characteristics of acid-base aging resistance, waterproof and moisture-proof, environmental protection and non-toxic, ozone aging resistance, etc., and is applicable to the pouring of electrical appliances, electronics, electromechanical, household appliances and power components. The material reaches the flame-retardant UL-94v0 level, reducing the high-temperature heat generated by the potting product during long-term operation, and reducing the damage to components and overheating. Compared with traditional polyurethane and epoxy resins, insulating silicone potting is environmentally friendly and won't release harmful gases to human body during operation, and its hardness is not too hard after curing. Those "too hard" problem is well solved by potting silicone rubber.
