Injection molding liquid silicone rubber (LSR) refers to the liquid silicone rubber raw materials processed by injection molding machine. Injection molding is to press the AB two-component silicone rubber into the dynamic mixing tube through the pressure compression pressure plate of the injection molding machine. After mixing, it is injected into the mold through the cold runner (hot runner is used for plastic injection molding), and then molded at high temperature. LSR cannot be produced on plastic injection molding machines because cold runner injection is required for reheating. At the same time, silica gel is a thermosetting material, not a thermoplastic material. It is a common sense mistake to say that silica gel is injected. The injection molding process has fast molding speed, no material waste, and is suitable for large-scale production. The disadvantage is that it is difficult to make two-color or multi-color silicone rubber products.
