ADVANTAGES OF EPOXY RESIN POTTING POLYMER

Most electronics epoxy potting compound are hard, and few modified epoxy resins are slightly soft. The major advantages of this material are good adhesion to the material and good insulation. It has good corrosion resistance and dielectric property, and can resist the corrosion of acid, alkali, salt, solvent and other media.

DISADVANTAGES OF EPOXY POTTING LIQUID POLYMER 

The ability to resist cold and heat changes is weak, and cracks are easy to occur after being impacted by cold and heat, resulting in water vapor seeping into the electric cabinet from the cracks, and the moisture resistance is poor. After curing, the gel has high hardness and brittleness, and high mechanical stress is easy to strain the cable. The epoxy resin cannot be opened due to its high hardness after potting and curing, so the product is a "life-long" product, and the replacement of components cannot be realized. Generally, the weather resistance of transparent epoxy resin materials is poor. Yellowing is easy to occur under light or high temperature conditions.
